When the last time you were told… “You are my valentine?”
When was the last time you told anyone he or she is your Valentine?
On the occasion of this Valentine’s Day, allow me to shed some light.
A few days after the cataract surgery, one evening around 8 pm, my mother was lying on the bed and not responding. Only me & my daughter were at home. With assistance from the neighbors, we took her to the hospital. By the time we got to the hospital E.R., it was 10:00. By 11 PM she opened her eyes and slowly coming back to consciousness. At 12:30 a.m., she began to respond. She was transferred to the ward at 3 a.m.
Caregivers do not have many amenities, everything must be managed. Since this was an emergency, I didn’t have any extra clothes or bedding.
At 3 a.m., I was lying on the ground, using my arms as a pillow, trying to sleep.
I wasn’t getting any sleep. Yet wisdom was unfolding before me.
There are going to be moments in life, you may have to face it all alone. That’s very true when it comes to your body and your mind. Family, friends can comfort you, but you must walk by yourself on the path of fire.
Then who’s your true Valentine? YOU’RE YOUR GENUINE VALENTINE. A healthy body and a healthy mind are the true valentine.
Family, friends and special people in your life, have their own place. Life becomes truly meaningful only because of them. However, if the body is not sound, your mind will not be in peace either.
On this special occasion of Valentine’s Day, do yourself a favor, go to the mirror and say “Happy Valentine’s Day ” to yourself. Hug yourself. Take some time, sit in silence with yourself, listen to your mind and body. Be mindful of your needs and desires. Show yourself a little love. Celebrate the Valentine’s Day in its true sense. Make it memorable one.

Have a great Valentine’s Day.
